Mr. Yoshimoto has experience in representing clients and resolving complex construction disputes, environmental matters, commercial disputes, real property disputes, and insurance matters. He has successfully represented clients before the Hawaii Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on complex construction and commercial cases. Mr. Yoshimoto has also successfully resolved numerous complex construction disputes involving sureties, owners, general contractors, design professionals, and material suppliers. He has successfully resolved complex claims involving delays and disruptions, differing site conditions, mechanics liens, bonding, and other construction industry related issues. He served as lead counsel for a contractor in a termination dispute on a government construction project resulting in a $4.3 million award, which was collected. He has also served as counsel on a complex construction delay and disruption trial for a contractor against the State of Hawaii and obtained a verdict in excess of $1 million. He has experience with federal, state and local government construction contracts, as well as private construction contracts.

Mr. Yoshimoto also has experience representing clients on a broad spectrum of environmental issues. Among the cases he has handled are cases involving the Federal Clean Water Act, cost recovery, contribution actions under CERCLA and the Hawaii Environmental Response Law, and insurance defense and coverage for environmental contamination claims.

Mr. Yoshimoto has successfully represented clients at trial, on appeal, at arbitration and in mediation. He has also represented contractors, real estate professionals and other licensees before the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs regarding consumer complaints. For many years, Mr. Yoshimoto has been a frequent speaker at construction industry seminars involving design related claims, construction related claims and government contracts. Mr. Yoshimoto is also an experienced arbitrator with the State of Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration Program.

Mr. Yoshimoto has been admitted and qualified to practice in all Hawaii State Courts, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
